Oct 03, 2005

From a Press Release

Santa Barbara, CA – Pro Italia, the nation's top dealer of Italian motorcycles from Ducati, MV Agusta and NCR is proud to announce a west coast preview of Ducati's exciting new line of Sportclassic motorcycles at our Ducati only dealership, Pro Italia Santa Barbara, during the shop's Grand Opening celebration on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8-9, 2005.

"With their vintage styling and contemporary engineering, the Sportclassics from Ducati are an exciting new line of motorcycles." said PI SB owner Dan Trotti, "We are looking forward to presenting these new, production-spec versions of the Paul Smart LE and Sport1000, in our Santa Barbara showroom. Pro Italia is especially pleased to be the first to display these much awaited bikes in Southern California. Santa Barbara is a great motorcycling community that can appreciate being one of the first places to preview these beguiling new bikes."

Pro Italia Santa Barbara's Grand Opening celebration begins on Saturday the 8th of October with a bike show featuring all makes and models from 2-6pm, and continues on Sunday, Oct. 9th with a day of Ducati demo rides, featuring most of Ducati's current lineup of motorcycles.

Both days will feature food and giveaways as well as the highlight, the display of production-spec Sportclassics. On hand will be a Paul Smart LE bike as well as two Sport1000s, one in red and one in the familiar burnt yellow.

Pro Italia feels that Italian motorcycles are the most stirring and enjoyable made today. We strive to provide the best sales, service, parts and apparel for the Italian motorcycle enthusiast. We cordially invite you to visit us during our Santa Barbara Grand Opening to show off your ride, test ride some new bikes and view some exciting newer than new motorcycles.

Are you organizing a group ride up there?

Has anyone been up to SB? Are there good roads in the area? I've got family there, so I have an excuse to visit now.

So that's three for the ride up...

I believe when PI first opened their SB store, they had a "pit stop" for riders heading to Laguna, no? I love stopping by the one in Glendale. Most for the 'prillers, but that OTHER Italian bike company makes "okay" ones.
