Default About to buy a Teg,but

i got a few questions before making any purchase.

i dont drive a manual so i believe thats a loss of power right?

i like the teg coupe, but a 4dr is also in my sights because of room AND i've seen alot of nice 4dr looking tegs lately. none with the JDM front end though-so another question is DO they have JDM front ends for 4dr? i ask that because i've never seen a 4dr with them.

it'll be a car driven often,so for a long-life-span what do i do? but some extra UMPH under the hood is also something i'd like to address.

btw ALL opinions are welcomed, but please dont waste your time posting if you plan on NOT contributing. also,is there a thread on how to start of your tegs? like the accord forum?

You can get a JDM front end for the 4dr, if you search for pics of there here I'm sure you'll find them.

Auto = virtually no torque (not loss of power)

If you're looking to start out with bolt ons your normal intake, header, exhaust will do fine.

Dude even if you're inexperienced driving manual, it only takes like 2 weeks and it becomes like second nature. If you're looking for power by adding on bolt-ons, do your self a favor and go manual, you'll be glad you did in the long run. As far as 4dr goes, thats just not as clean as the 2dr, but thats just my opinion. (I've heard the 4dr drives smoother becasue of the longer wheelbase.)

thanks everyone. i had a friend who bought a car and didnt drive manual either. he fucked his **** up in 2days. i'll think about it though. yes i agree, the 2dr is much more nicer, but 4dr is catching my eyes lately due to the space i'll be needing. also its not gonna be a racer, but a daily driver,so i was looking for things to keep its life span going. again, thanks for the feedback

God damnit

edit: I just wrote out a long *** post and the browser crashed, expletive.

Either way, lemme just say I was in the same predicament as you when I was first purchasing my teg. One of the first times I ever drove standard was driving it off the lot 5 minutes after I bought it, and I stalled 3 times on the way home.

Seriously, you will love your car WAY more if you go manual, it becomes second nature extremely quickly, dont be scared!

Plus, driving a manual is just a better driving experience, you are more connected with the car, you in control, with an auto, its like the car controls you..

Basically autos are boring.

go manual, you wont regret it. You should find someone to teach you how to drive manual, maybe a relative or a freind. For the first week or 2 you will suck at it but then once you get it down it lets you have a lot more fun. Like just driving around there are a lot of more fun things to do with a manual like practice heal-toeing, shifting fast, it makes cruising involve more technique. And thats fun to improve on.

nah, manual keeps you occupied in traffic, give yourself a little more room, and just rock back and forth for a while

^yeah, but i hear thats gonna do a number on your engine. correct me if i heard wrong, but being in bumper to bumper traffic is pretty bad i hear. im from NY. i got red lights all over the place. i got these damn dominican taxi drivers all over the road stopping and going. so whats the truth? remember,i'll be using this ride often.

edit: plus not to mention along with those red lights i got PLENTY of other cars inbetween. sometimes i'd wait two/three stop lights UNTIL i finally reach the light.

edit2: how much is the JDM front ends? i searched and i cant find it,sorry. i need the pricing
