Default spring sizes

just a quick question, what is the dimater and height of a stock ek spring? I was looking in the used spring thread and wasn't sure, thanks

Unlike racing springs that are sold by dimensions such as ID and free lengths, OE springs are made to fit what the manufacturer wants with no specific guideline or dimensions. They may have different diameters along the length of the same spring if they choose. OE BMW rears are barrel shaped with the ID almost constantly changing along its length. I don't have any EK spring readily avaiable but theya re going to be somewhat greater in ID than a 2.5 in. ID racing spring and the top and bottom ID will almost certainly be different.

in other words, unless you already have coilover sleeves or threaded body shocks of the proper diameter, dont try to use the springs being sold in the "race spring for sale/trade" thread.

those springs alone are not going to just replace the stock springs without the proper hardware.
