To tow with the R?
Thinking of getting a small covered trailer (like you see being pulled by motorcycles) to carry some **** for track events (ie tires, tool box, canopies, kegerator). Was wonder what you all think abou this and if anybody has done it?
with a reg Integ I read somewhere you can tow up to 1000 lbs but in the same book (not sure which) maybe the owners manual, they reccomend against it. Why I have no idea, maybe the clutch would die quick???
Ya can't just borrow a car or rent?

Lots of people tow track equipment with ITRs. You should be well under 1000lbs with a small trailer for tires, jack, etc. I tow our boat (1500lbs?) for short trips with our GSR and it has no trouble whatsoever.

I can fit everything I need for a track event in the hatch. Just fold down the rear seats and you now have a fast station wagon. I fit the 4 wheels, Rubbermade box with everything else (jack, tq. wrench, tools, etc.), a cooler, air tank, folding chairs, helmet, and my luggage. Then I even have the passanger seat.
By the way, if a Miata can tow a trailer then the ITR will not have a problem.

Check with ITR#231. I believe he has a tow hitch on his R.
in my book. I used to put everything in my car, but it took a while, and I had to remove all of it after the event when I was dog tired. Now I just pull the trailer in and leave it for a few days until I get around to unloading it. Very nice. Here's a pic:and a thread:

What kind of tires are those? Looks really bald or maybe just the pic.
Those are race tires. Either BFG R1's or Khumo Victoracers by the look of them.
FWIW, There is at least 1 good quality hitch assembly that fits the R without drilling any holes. If it would help, I can look up the name for you.
Also, I recollect that the Integra actually comes with a 'built-in' wiring harness for a trailer. There was supposed to be a short 'whip' hidden behind the plastic panels in the trunk area, never saw it though.

$3500 for that trailer!!! Damn. Mine was only $220, but it wouldn't look as good on 20"s

And yea, they're V700's. They actually have a lot of life left.
