Default troubles with pasword jdm 3 point

So i just got my password jdm 3 point strut bar and i am a little upset. Reason being is that it does not quite fit right due to my ground control top hats. I want to know if anyone has had this same problem, and if so how did they fix it? I was thinking about maybe drilling the whole out to be a little bigger.
