The JDM lights I had were plastic, had no bulbs or plugs, so I sold them back, and got my stock ones back

if you go to g2ic.com under teg tips, look at renewing jdm one-piece headlights, they show you how to sand them and re-finish the plastic.

The lights use H4H bulbs, which aren't available to my knowledge in the US (at least I can't find them anywhere). You can however, convert H4 bulbs to work, info on that is on the g2ic.com site. Due to a stripped screw, I couldn't get the fog light cover off to look and see what fog light bulbs they use.

h4h for the main light, h3 for the fog light. and they are plastic. much lighter, but not legal for us road use. but they look realy good, so who cares.

jdm is plastic. be careful if you polish them with a buffer or you can melt it and put deep scratches into it

The cutoff is flipped for right hand drive, so they will produce more glare to oncomming traffic. Also, US requires all cars to have an amber front side reflector, and amber side marker light, Japan does not.

But aside from that, the real reason is, if it didn't come stock on the car, and an aftermarket company hasn't spent $$$ getting the part certified, its not legal to use.

The real question is, will the cops care though? If you don't put in a HID kit, and keep normal wattage bulbs in it, the glare won't be that bad, and you can always adjust them down a slight bit to help that out. Its been over a year since I had side reflectors in the front, but I did keep the marker bulb amber.

you can buy H4H bulbs at various online sites... they're really not that hard to find they also have info on restoring JDM DA's on G2IC tips
