Ok. I ordered the Apexi N1 exhaust for my car and it should be in about a week.. It comes with a silencer. On a scale from 1-10 how loud is the exhaust with the silencer and without?
And with the silencer compared to the stock exhaust? thanks

My friends S2000 has the Apexi single canister exhaust, its sounds really good.

 

the silencer for the apexi n1 will do nothing but make you lose power

 

I thought Apexi currently only made the dual n1 catback otherwize known as the "hi-power"

hi-power is made by hks.... apexi only makes a single n1 exhasut and it uses a bigger muffler/tip then the hks

Yup, kind of seems pointless to get an the exhaust, stock will probably flow better.

 

they manufacture the n1 as well as the gt spec. only thing is they use the same size piping for both instead of the 90mm for every other gt spec.

just like i posted in your OTHER thread just like this one. ITS LOUD.

Well, im going to put the silencer on so daily driving and take the silencer of for racing. So I just want to know if it sounds like stock with the silencer on.

 

sorta not really but when u take the silencer off the music begins lol its gonna sound nice ull see in a couple if days congrats

 

Throwing a silencer on the end sorta defeats the purpose of a "performance" exhaust that you'd pay $1000 for. If you've shelled out that much money, throw that damn silencer in the corner of your garage. Any exhaust you're going to get is loud, and people know that. Yes, even the cops.

Maybe its just where I live. There are plenty of Civics/Integs around in my town with jack-**** under the hood and a 3" straight pipe blasting around. The pigs would sooner jump on those guys than a stock looking S with "just an exhaust".

 

Your wrong you have an attention getter for looks so they will see it and follow you then they'll see your exhaust and then you have problems.

Even if the cops are on me, my government ID usually gets me out of ish.

Its not that much cheaper there, but they have more "generic" brands that are like $18 a carton and taste like old stale smokes. Sams Club or Costo actually is cheaper by a couple bucks.

And no, I can't fake you one because they have computer chips in them.

its loud...my buddy has a 04 s2000 w/apexi n1 and it louder than my civic wo a cat
