Default 90 civic/91 ls swap runs rich

i wanted to know if any knows what can be the problem with my car i have a 90 civic hatch with an ls swap from a 91 integra ls(b18a1) but the car runs real rich it shoots black crap out the exhaust and u can definitely smell the gas someone help please!!!

what ecu are you running? do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? did you upgrade your fuel pump? give us a little more details on the swap. that'll help us out some.

the ecu im running is a p75 which i think is a type r ecu i think that might be the problem since it aint a vtec head wat do u think

No thats not the answer thats the rice way. Vafc just "tricks" the ecu doesnt really fix the problem. P75 is the right ecu its for the ls. Are you throwing codes? He must be obd1 not sure but he is running a odb1 ecu . More info so we can help

wat is a p75 and yea they wired it to make it obd1 but they cut into the civic chassis harness and added the obd1 part of a newer civic if u know wat i mean and other than that not any mods except for a skunk2 intake manifold
