Default Importparts.com - DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) APPROVED HID KITS!!!

Would anyone be interested in an HID kit that was 100% DOT street legal? These kits include everything you need including new headlamp housings. Chime in and give us some feedback on what you think. We're trying to see if we can get enough interest to offer them at a blow-out intro price.

I'd like more details on the quality of this product. This may be worth checking out if the certification does not bump the price by some unreasonable amount.

The certification doesn't bump up the price. The included headlamp housings do though.

so are you saying a complete headlight swap with the HIDs already pre-installed there? what's a ballpark price figure?

Yea no more wire splicing, etc. It's a complete swap over with pre-installed HID kit. The retail price for Hondas is about $1200.00. Depending on the demand we see, there will be a drastic drop in price.

it would only be DOT approved with the housings because they'll be made so that you get the nice, sharp cutoffline that doesn't blind oncoming traffic right?

I don't get why we would need to get new headlights. Wouldn't it be the same thing if we were to install it on our original headlight?? That forces us to buy new headlights when it isn't needed

our OEM headlights weren't meant to have HIDs installed in them. the beam pattern would be sorta dispersed and you'd have crazy glare. if you get a new entire housing, it should be engineered so that you would not have that glare effect. well that's what i'm hoping for at least...

That's pretty much it.

Available with a gunmetal housing?? What do you think price will be like? To be straight with you, it sounds great, I wouldnt do a drop in kit because of lack of a proper cutoff, however I would only buy if the housings were gunmetal and that 1200 came down a shitload. Post a price estimate, that way interest is at least legit.

I'd like to hear more also. Some gunmetal housing with a DOT approved, correct beam would be nice to have this winter.

As asked, how much would this drop be? roughly?

Housings are available in clear and black, sorry no gun metal. The price will go as low as $800.00 if we get enough interest.

wow...that's pricey! i guess i'd have to check out the quality of the product before i'd put up that much cash. i would imagine you guys can get some pictures of the product with the cutoff lines? also, we'd need to know how good the fitment is and definitely if there is any type of condensation.

Are the housings projector?? Do they have city lights? $800 shipped? Last question, do they come assembled, or is it required that we crack open our headlights and swap housings?
