Default 2006 Gsx-R 1000

I was wondering when I went to look at the dealership this weekend, they had an 05 gsxr 1000. I didnt get on it, cuz their was signs saying not to sit on them, but I was wondering are they smaller then the 04 1000?

My gsx-r 750 looks bigger then the 05/06 gsxr 1000. I was looking for some specs but couldnt find any. Does anyone know if they are a little bigger or smaller in size.... thanks

Well, that's not the whole story. The real difference is in the width of the bike.

The old-style Gixxers have pretty wide seats and tanks. The new style have much skinnier seats, and so they feel like much smaller bikes. I can flat-foot the newest Gixxers, as well as the R1. And I can't even flat-foot my R6.
