Yeah but my beef with the motors is that the year models dont match up. They have like 92-95 90-92 they dont have any ob2, which im 99% positive i need for a swap to run in my ek hatch.

I knew i could convert the obd1 to obd2, but why wont hmotors sell any ek b16's? i find it odd. But that sounds good bcause their prices are pretty nice. Im ordering one asap.

Doesn't both the 92-95 and 96-00 B16A2(JDM) rate at the same HP and TQ number, and the only difference is in the OBD.

County emissions laws might not let you put a OBD1 motor in a 96+ car. Although when I got my civic inspected, I asked him what they'd do if the OBD2 plug wasn't giving them a signal, they said they would just run the ASM test at that point.

I believe this is correct.

I'd go with http://www.importautosalvage.com since you are on the east coast. You'll have your motor a day after ordering it. Call them and ask for Randy.

I've heard nothing but good things about them.

usually the obd 1 and 2 b16 are the same price. you need to call steve on that. i have gotten 2 obd2 b16 swaps from him. i know he has them.
and since you are in ga, try http://www.importautosalvage.com larry is a standup guy as well.

IAS tends to be a good bit more expensive than HMO, but you'll have to look very hard to even try to find a problem with the JDM swaps they sell. I've done a couple of OBD-1 B16 swaps into EK's and it's not like it's hard.
