Default lug nut question

What is the difference between Acorn Bulge Seat and Acorn/Tapered Seat? Which one do I need/want? I am looking to get some black lugs for the winter wheels I am putting on (99 Teg). Please see the link below for a better understanding of what I am talking about.

Thanks a lot.

EDIT: Sorry, this should have probably been put in the wheel tire section..........

The "bulge" seat is like the stock lugs. If you look at the surface where it touches/seats against the rim, you'll see it's curved/"bulged". This is the best surface to mate with the stock steel wheel (and most stock wheels).

A "tapered" is like many aftermarket lugs. Their seating surface is a straight diagonal, and many times that is best suited for aftermarket wheels.

I'll see if I can find some pictures.

These are the bulge/acorn/radius type lugs: http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/GOR38431N.htm

These are the tapered ones:

Look at the lug seat on the bottom. See how the first one is rounded and the second one is a straight diagonal?

Thanks a lot shamoo! I understand what you are saying. That is what I kind of thought, but I wanted to make sure.
