I was told to post this here..its about my mechanic situation (Bay Area Specific)
alright heres the quick story..i needa replace my LMA's on my b16..anyways my mechanic is a friend of family...but hes dickin and dodgin me left n right cause i have a feeling he doesnt know workin on hondas too well...he wasnt familiar with LMAs and called it a valve lifter..anyways..i'v been callin him for weeks and he always asks me to call him back and he'll give me an estimate on the job..so im like alright..but i'v had it up to here...he just gives me the run around...anyways..imma do the h22a 0.40 washer LMA thing..only one LMA is bad but imma just do all 8 (why not right?)..anyway...what im askin is..if anyone here in the Bay Area CA can recomend me to a good honda savvy mechanic to do this job...and also what price for labor am i lookin at for a job like this?..i'd gladly do it myself but my nooberism doesnt give me confidence with cracking open my engine just yet..anyways..any help would be nice..im in fremont
I never heard of a Washer trick But since its a H22 expect to pay twice as much as it would be for a B series. You have to take off the timing belt and putting that back on is a bitch and half.
no no..its a b16..im just gunna use the h22a LMA trick..h22 lma's are 8 bux a pop..instead of the 40 they want for the b16..
