After finishing the swap, I notice that my tranny was leaking oil. I figure that the axel seal was bent, so I fix that but the oil was still leaking. After cleaning the oil spots, it seems like the oil was coming right above from the tranny (around the starter). Do anybody know if it leaks from the starter?

 

the starter has no fluids anywhere near the mounting. it is in an open-air environment inside the bell housing... it may be possible the oil is leaking from the engine above it, and seeping past the starter, or something similar to that concept...

 

DAM, if that's true I don't understand why my tranny oil is leaking? I always check the motor oil, but it stays the same and the oil for my tranny has only about a quart left after draining it. I see trails from above the tranny where the dizzy and the starter is.

Would the oil leak from the tranny bolt? I'm asking this because I think One of the bolt is missing for my tranny.
