I can relate a similar PIAA experience. I had an opportunity to replace a PIAA super white 9005 bulb (it departed company), and because of budgetary considerations (I didn't want to spend all that $%#@*& money on one bulb) I substituted a Sylvania Silverstar in it's place.
Guess what? The s/s was whiter and was either as bright (or brighter) than the PIAA.
Hopefully the GT-x Bulbs are a different technology and you'll actually see an improvement in lighting (if that's the way you want to go)
For me?, it's either Silverstars or HID when I can get the 'scratch' together.

cool cool, I just ordered mine so im just trying to get some feedback. I had the H3's before for other lights and they looked good. I wanted to know if the newer ones looked as good.

Whatever you get, make sure it's a name brand. I bought some 9006 bulbs on eBay for a price that was too good to be true and one burned out in two weeks. Silverstar might be the best bang for the buck....

9005 ---> 9006 conversion Silver stars works great for me. I bet they are the best priced bulbs on the market.

Normal HID sucks, hot spots everywhere, glare off the wall...you should see how HIDs look in a tunnell, it's reflection is everywhere but where needed most...all in all...silverstars or retro-fit HIDs.
