Default Wrench Size for Ignitor replacement

I'm trying to change my ignitor on my 88 civic, and the only thing holding it onto my dizzy is 2 little bolts that are on the exterior of the distributor.. The problem that i'm having is a socket cant fit because of part of the dizzy in the way, It was philips head too but those stripped so easy its not even funny.. I tried using an 8mm open end wrench and it was too big, so i tried a 7mm.. it was soo close but still too big.. so i went and got a 6mm thinking it would work but it was too small.. Anyone know if it could be 6.5mm??

I ran into the same problem. I use a standard size wrench. Its not metric. Sorry dont remember the size. It was some ago.
