My DC tie bar is made very well for what is 'supposed' to do. It fits veeeerrry tight and it's very sturdy. So much so that it pisses my off just trying to get it on.

So basically the bar is very good quality and does what it should, but the question is whether or not you actually need any bracing in that area....

When I was trying to install my lower tie bar, my father came over, looked at it, and said "What the hell good is that going to do you?" I pondered for awhile, agreed with him, and then quit.

I just installed a DC one and the install was easy all you do is take the side brackets off the bar and take the bolt out of the lower a arm that connects it to the body and install it through the DC bracket. Do this on both sides then install the bar and tighten everything. Didnt notice much difference mostly for looks

thats true. i have one too.. the holes do have to be drilled out.... but i also have the megan cat back, and header.. and i love them.. the quality is great.. when i installed mine, i noticed the back end was much more stable going around corners.. i think its a great buy for 20 bucks... and its aluminum... dont be pissed that you have to midify it a lil... yiou have to modify 50 percent of stuff you buy for cars anyway... i think it was a great buy..

I was curious about the price of Megan (over a year ago), and I bought the three tie bars. They all fit perfectly in my 4th gen... no drilling/bending/welding or anything needed.

They don't make a world's difference, but I can definetely feel a little less understear in some common situations.

Yes they are for show/looks mostly, but they will make slight differences... nothing significant. And besides, who needs a suspension mod for the streets?

If you want performance, hire an engineer to custom build one to your specifications/driving style.

who needs suspension mods for the streets? I do. Honestly dude, I can count like 4 times when having an awesome suspension has got me out of hairy situations and maybe saved my life. Evasive manuvers and whatnot.
