plate for the climate control on ek dashboard...
well, i removed my dashboard, and removed the cover, now.. i tried making a fiberglass plate, and it came out crappy, anyone mind helping, i basicly just need a plate that looks clean to cover the hole.. i need to mount a 5" lcd, and some toggles, nothing major there. any idears ?
some thin sheet metal, x brace it on the back ?.. use tin sheers to cut it ?

Thats exactly how my car is right now. I'm not too fond of it, but it works. I used tin sheers to cut and a dremel to smooth the edges. It looks pretty bad, but my whole car looks bad, so I'm not too concerned with it.
i can laser cut plastic into dash panel with a good template. My computers in the shop so i cant show you pictures of my work, but drop me a pm or a design and i can give you a quote

this is the only pic i have of a 96 climate control... i cant find any of the 99-00 ones... not to mention i like that center piece much better... i always use the abs plastic sheets that audio places ussually have


Doesn't it get hot in the car with the turbo right there? You should put a heat shield around it or something, it would probably help the spool too. Turbos like heat you know...
