A-spec Suspension
u might find some in the classifieds or on ebay. not many people are running the aspec suspension. is there any reason in particular that you wanted to run the aspec suspension? you only get it warrantied if you have a dealer install it for you. so, if you decide to do it yourself, you might as well go with a different company for your suspension setup.
I've had a civic with coilovers, and that was a ruff ride. I've ridden in my friends a-spec, and it wasn't very bumpy at all.. Overall I nice ride. Plus I don't want to pay for the mugen SS.
I'm burned out on cars for the most part. I don't plan to do very much to my car at all. Just drop it a little and maybe some wheels.

the warranty on the suspension is only 1 year i think. i might of had read wrong, but i believe you will get a better warranty with certain aftermarket companies.
if you want a soft ride and you dont care how a car handles, i'd suggest just cutting the springs. you ride will be soft and bouncy.
springs are cheap. check ebay.

Negative on cutting the springs. I'm not going to race, and I still want it to be comfortable. Rode in my friends a-spec, and it seemed to fit MY needs.

I dont know if this applies, but I just got the HFP setup for the ep3. Dropped the car about an inch I guess. Cornering is significantly better, but the ride is much less harsh than I would have thought. I think Showa makes all the Honda suspension parts so this may be useful information or it may not be.
Good luck.

A-spec is by far the best choice for you then. It should last the life of the car, more or less.
I personally think the Mugen SS kit is too dampened for the springrates that come with it. Plus, it's more money, as you suggested.

he wants to have a lowered car that rides like stock. most aftermarket springs run spring rates that are a lot stiffer. he is NOT looking for performance.
aspec offers him something close to the oem ride while slightly lowering his car, which would work well for him.
