If you're going for weight savings, keep the oem hood. It fits perfectly and its already as light as you can get w/o spending thousands on dry carbon. Vents may be benficial, but probably not on a street car. IMO, you have to have a lot of exterior mods in the right places to make that hood look right. I'd stick with oem and invest that $800+ in other places.
My friend has a siebon. it's not the exact same... he wasnt really impressed with the fit but he got it pretty close. he had to cut some supports to fit the neuspeed strut bar though...

How and why are the vents in the wrong places? I'm not defending the Seibon Mugen-style hood, however, seeing that it's been copied from the Mugen hood...I'd like your opinion on why you think the vents are in the wrong places?

...and by ICE, he means Molson ICE, Smirnoff ICE, and Absolut ICE.
I'd like to see you place JDM with the new car the grapevine tells me you're going to get. You should kill in Euro, though.

For me, the passenger side vent is on top of the intake filter element. Rain season is coming, and thats bad beef for me since I daily drive. I said that regarding my setup; wasn't bashing on anybody's design. If it doesn't work for me then it doesn't, nothing more to it.

funny how you mention that ... thats what i thought when searching for the hood ... but i was like, ill get it anyway cuz i dont drive my car in the rain ... then one night took my car out and it rained really hard ... my car was parked in the lot thinking im screwed ... i was surprised that my engine didnt get wet at all ... maybe some few drops and wet spots, but thats about it ... did you see how ders a gutter around the vents? mugen design is amazing
edit : and imagine i have ARC at the time when i got cought with the storm ... the filter was dry as ____________ (<--- insert whatever you wanna prefer LMAO)

Ahhh....I see. So it's not that the vents are in the wrong location, it that you have the wrong intake!!!
