K20A/K20A2 Swap in 1997 Hatchback
Ok guys, its official, I am saving up for the K series swap, forget all the overdone B series and H series out there, I want and need to be different, especially for future shows. I need a list like I've seen for old Civics of everything that I'll need to make it a turn key project. I'll be installing it myself with friends help of course and other than that all I gotta worry about is what prices, etc. everythign will run. This will be going into my 1997 Civic hatchback.

Yeah, and they do a really good job of how to do it too.

visit k20a.org tons of info on this project. There are alot of ways to cut costs w/o cutting corners. Some of the ways I have found are:
Modify existing k fuel rail buy welding a -6 an fitting on to run to a fpr. save 100
use type s axles with b series outters, or straight base rsx axles or ep3 axles save 200
use prc ecu instead of kpro if you are running n/a save 800
used tsx stock header instead of aftermarket save 300-1000
those are some ways to cut almost 1500-2000 off of the swap.
things you can't bypass
swap harness - you can make your own but lots of time to research and source stuff
swap mounts
hope this helps.
