i have a b16 swapped into a 00 coupe.. it wont start. i checked the spark and it only sparks once in awhile. so what do u think it is and what should i do.. i think it might be the distributor, but im not for sure. please help, thanks alot..

 

I would start with removing the cap and rotor on the distributer and see if the shaft has any play up and down, also while you are in there look at the connections at the coil. This is the same problem I had with my d16y8 and i replaced the distributer and has worked fine since.

 

Sounds like it's the dizzy. Something similar happened on my '87 Accord. It would always struggle to start, die, start, die, start and stay started. Until one day, it wouldn't spark any longer at all. A new dizzy fixed the problem.

what did it do before it did all your problems.. mine one day it just cut off. i was driven and my car just shut off then my prob. started..it would struggle to start. sometimes it would start sometime not.. then when it did start and i push the gas alittle bit it would like bog down like no current was going threw the car or no gas. i changed my fuel pump and fuel filter so i know its not the fuel system.. so i dont know.....
