i posted this in the ITR forum, but i also decieded to post it here as well.

will i just laid my cams in the head and put the gears on and they look off alot. is this how they are suppose to be?

camshafts are put in with woodroof slot on the cam pointing up. if you look at the cam gears they arent lined up right.. any ideas?

 

Put on the stock cam gears to compare. Maybe the cams or even the gears are machined wrong.

 

looks like your ex. is off... line up the two outer dots with the head....

 

its normal all the motors i have built/helped build are off like that. once u put the timing belt on, line the 2 dots up with the top of the head and it will be okay.

 

ya what dc2 said once the belt is on it will put tension on everything and it will settle in place
