Default megan 4-1 header

i just installed my megan 4-1 header. not bad for 190 shipped. i think it looks pretty good. i had to raise my car up because it was hanging pretty low what do you guys think? anyone has these on their car? how well does it perform? i'm still waiting for my hi flow cat and muffler to come so i'm running open header atm.

dont run open headers
i heard when you turn off your car your valves may have a chance of warping from cold air coming up the header

i haven't drove it yet but i have to drive it to the muffler shop to get new piping and my muffler welded on. its about a 40 minute drive too.

looks as good as its said to be, question did you measure the collector size? is it a true 2.5 collector or is it a bit smaller? like 2.36 inches?

Buds, no worries about driving i hard. People run open headers at the track, it gives them better top end. Punch that s@!t buddy.

A friend of mine had that header on his B16-hatchback... but sorry, it's just cheep crap

If you want a cheap header, i would recommend a DC 4-2-1 ceramic coated for B16 powered cars: good price, good perfromance an good quality

Well I appreciate the opinion on this header, but of course it's best if you inform us why it's cheap crap? I understand that the tubing used for this header is rather thin and have heard of welds cracking rather easily , but the same thing has happened on my JDM DC 4-1 header.

Exactly. This is true. Don't risk ******* up your engine because your too lazy to keep your header on. Run it with no exhaust at least, that can't damage your engine.

He is running open header, not open head. There isn't much of a risk of him warping a valve.

My mistake. I must've misread.

I did that once, and my car filled up with a small bit of exhaust smoke.
