Teg wont start, not coil, ignitor or fuel
Checked wires for ignitor coil and checked fuel pressure. when i looked at the rotor, the tab on it seems really small and when i placed it on the cap it doesn't seem like it will make contact with all the points. i'd say its less than .5cm in length. anyone out there happen to know about how long it should be? or have any other ideas what this may be? thanks. by the way, its a stock, all honda replacement parts, 92 gs-r.
i haven't replaced anything yet... distributor and internals are oem/stock, but replaced under the extended warranty/recall about 100k miles ago. like i said, fuel is good, coil is good, and ignitor is good. called acura and got the diagnostics for the above and checked them with my multimeter earlier today. engine cranks, just doesn't start.

There's 3 things you need to have an engine running, air, fuel, and spark (timing).
You obviously have fuel as you stated before, and you also MUST have air. That really is just a given. So your problem must lay around your spark and the timing of your spark. Look into that and you should be able to start your car.

check your timing belt as if it broke no air will enter. Also you may have fuel pressure but if your filter is clogged then it could impeade flow to the point that there isnt enough fuel to run the motor. Check your compression since without it it a no go. make sure spark is at the plug or atleast the wire and check theplug tolerances as well. On the inside of the cap make sure the button in the middle isnt rounded and it is springy. Make sure you have 12 volts to the coil and that the ground is secure.
timing belt is good, no spark at the plugs, cap is good, wires are good, ... i took the readings i got from the coil and ignitor to acura and they said best bet was get a new ignitor and go from there... get the part thursday so i guess we'll see then.... knock on wood

Correct. But if the main relay was bad, it wouldn't cause the car to completey stop working all together. It would start, and then die right away.

yeah our ignitors alway go out. mine read fine one day when it wasnt starting and i checked it again the next day and it was bad.

umm i dont even think it would start...a easy way to tell is its bad is when you put your key in the second position before it cranks...you should see your check engine light come on and when it goes off you should hear a click.

It does start, but as said; Cuts out right away...
I have to listen for the click as the CEL goes off as my (two) Main Relay's both are prone to not working when they get a bit hot, so I have to swap in the spare from the glove box every now and then.

a bad main fuel relay will not normally let a car start, they will just crank. from the sounds of everything shes saying its the ignitor, the ignitor went out on my DA and it did the same stuff.

My post was quite ambiguous I must admit.
Remaining fuel pressure in the fuel rail from the last time the car was running, will allow it to start, then die as the fuel pump does not pump.
Pretty much if it clicks, and before it clicks you can hear the fuel pump pumping (even the stock one you can hear it in the lines) then its no the relay your after.

Will the car popstart ?
Have you checked the Fuel system pressure
If not:
(FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE)==========adapter=
FUEL FILTER )=======
rent it at autozone)
fuel pressure at key on/engine off should be between 47/54
other than that it should be fuel pump relay, or relay harness
