dealership NOT to go to.....
heres the story.......
im looking to buy a pre-owned s2000. I see one at hendrick Honda here in charlotte on south blvd. i stopped by took a little test drive and everything was good. i go in and work out a deal (took about 2 hours). so I get the keys in hand and off i go. i called a couple of days later cause i left some stuff i need in the car i traded in. I'm driving to work the next day and hear a knocking noise coming from the suspension. hmmmmm what is that? well on the paper work it said there was rattling that had been fixed and they replaced the sway bar. this was not the problem, although they tried to say it was. so i go to hendrick and tell them about it and scheduled an appointment (under warranty) and there were a few other things i wanted checked out and fixed. couple days went by and i called about a spare key and remote. i got the car on the 18th spoke with them at least 4 or 5 times in two weeks about something on this car. on the 28th i called them because i noticed a glitch in the paper work, the sles manager, mark, tells me to come in and we would fix the problem. i go in wait for 2 hours cause he is with a customer, finally someone comes to help me and its a new sales man, i tell him what i waws there for and he tells me i can go sit down in his office.ok everything is good, im starting to calm down. he leaves for a few minutes and comes back to tell me to give him the keys they couldnt make a deal. im like WTF ok. now i dont care about the POS s2000 outside. mark the sales manager doesnt have the ***** to come and tell me himself?? so here comes some guy with a screw driver taking the plate off the car so he can put it back on the car i traded in. not to mention i have a cold air intake on he s2000 by now that has to be taken off. ohhh ow here comes the sales manager, outside in the damn parking lot, not in his office, but in the parking lot. he had nothing to say but im sorry. then i leave. call Matt, the general manager the next day and he could care less what was oging on.
the next day i send my friend up there to get the cold air intake, cause i was at work and by now if i go up there they will have to call the police on me cause im PISSED!!! well he not only had to wait and hour and a half for them to get the intake off BUT he had to show them how to do it. YEP the hendrick honda mechanics didnt know how to take off a cai. he bring the cai to me and it has scratches and dents all over it.
i go on saturday the first, to get another one at goldsboro honda in raleigh and find out that after i left on the 28th, hendrick sent my application to every bank and credit angency on the east coast. so yeah, i drove 3 1/2 hours to hear that.
on a happy note....the people at goldsboro honda were very nice and worked everything out for me. they gave me a hell of a deal on a 2002 spa yellow s2000 with only 16,000 miles. they paid off $14,000 i owed on my jeep and gave me the car for $20,000.
i made the story as short as possible just to give you a story in a nut shell so you didnt have to read all night.
