ok to start this i have a 1989 honda accord LXi automatic

the trany will work ok taking that the 4th gear does not work and has meny shifting probs for about 5 min then nothing works .....but is i cut the car off the right back on everything works agian?????!?!?! confused yet ... i am!

well hear we go i want to just swap the trany out and i know that a 88 carded or Fi accord's trany will work just that the carded and Fi tranys have a slight differ gear ratio.... but would the 86 or 87 trany work in my car? or what years accords tranys will work in my accord. please help i'm so lost!
