Default timing belt issue

I know this topic has been covered in other threads about the auto and manual tensioner conversion but I did not see much on the timing belt part of that. I had a new Greddy h22 timing belt and did the manual tensioner conversion.
The problem: the timing belt does not fit. It's too short. Could it be that it has to be forced on there or should I just go get an OEM h22 for my manual tensioner instead of using the Greddy belt? Or should I try to see if I could make it fit? Help is appreciated.

anybody? I'm trying to get my car running after 1 year of building and it's ridiculous that all that impedes the completion is a something so small, yet important as a belt.
