I want your opinion
alright guys....I have been in the process of rebuilding a d16z6.....turned crank, new rings bearings seals, honed the cylinderwalls, pretty much a complete rebuild......arp head studs and a raceeng block guard.....to replace my mini-me that is gettin a little tired. I have peiced together almost all of a turbo kit....
DSM 450's
p28 with uberdata and datallogind
hf mani
homemade adapter
t3 .48/.60 with internal WG set at 7,polished intake housing, machine shop redid the exhaust side to fill in the standard t3 cracks
autometer AFR, oil pressure, fuel pressure, egt, and boost gauges (2 mounted in center, three on pillar)
DSM intercooler
turbo xs BOV
I just need to make the pipin and bolt it up and get it tuned....but I keep runnin into problems and issues here and there.....and I am getting.......discouraged.......I kinda want to just swap in the z6 and sell everything else (I don't even know how much it is worth).......now my big decision I want to make right now is do I stick out my turbo d-series or switch to all motor b-series?
I am a perfectionist with everythin on my car and I love it to death I wish I could figure out how to post some pics for you....it is bone stock exterior except for my konig holes 15's.....lowered on skunk2 with tokico blues, skunk2 exhaust, ebay high flow cat and ceramic coated header, obd1 mini me, intake, battery relocated to the trunk, skunk2 shifter, skunk2 shift **** and neuspeed shifter bushings....I dunno that is my car I was just wondering if any of you guys could relate to my dilema.........

personally i would swap it with the b series....its great platform to start with and responds great to boost if u ever want to boost it in the future...
if money is an issue stay with the d series...but b16 swaps for EFs keep getting cheaper and cheaper...especially if u piece together the swap urself....in fact i have an extra stock 1g b16 here at the shop

well I was thinkin I could sell my mini-me and my turbo setup and perhaps have enough money get a start toward a b series swap....
but ur saying ur in the process of building the z6...wouldnt that kinda be a waste of money if ur just gonna turn around and sell the parts u just bought for the current project to fund a new project...thats just me...i know how quickly pockets get drained while building motors...
yeah I am actually finished with it....it will replace my mini me for now.......I am just getin frustrated with goin turbo and whatnot....everything just isn't fittin like I thought it would and I am constantly runnin into new problems.....

Ha....welcome to custom Hondaland.
What problems are you having? I would just throw the z6 in there for now and then make sure you have just about everything you need for the turbo before you start it. Or, take it to a shop and it will be hassle free for you
