Does anyone have any links to different company exhaust system sounds? I was something quiet I was thinking the RSR Exmag, or the WS2. I don't want to dump that kind of money until I know what it sounds like. Thanks

i just installed a megan header back exhaust system on my 01 prelude its sounds great with the silencer in or out. best price i found was option imports.com let my know if i was a help

 

dont waste ur money on megan. the 2 u stated would be perfect. u could also have a custom built mandrel bent system...just make sure u pic the right muffler. i made the mistake of goin with a magnaflow muffler n now im payin for it bc the tone has changed a lot since i had it built. but id say go with the thermal or the rsr

93boostedlude-I was actually making plans to get custom 2.25 inch piping (stainless) and a magnaflow 14682 muffler (i think that's the number...it's got dual tips that are very similar looking to the stock lude exhaust). It's pretty pricey for just a muffler so I assumed it was going to be of high quality and sound great. Could you elaborate more on what muffler you've got and what exactly happened to make you not like it anymore? thanks!!

 

im not sure exactly on the part number but its not a dual tip so i know its not the one ur lookin at. my setup is 2.5". for the 1st month or so it was a great sound. nice n deep. but ever since its gotten pretty raspy n i hate it. it sounds so ricey that i actually wanna just rip it off. i just have more important things to spend my money on(savin up for a motor) so im not in much of a rush to get a new muffler. another thing is that i have no resonators so that is probably the biggest reason y it sounds the way it does now. but again id rather deal with it n keep my money goin for my motor

 

its not a magnaflow exhaust its a megan racing exhaust there not that bad right a 300 bucks and its removable and a bolt on.

if you want quiet sound for cruising then u should just buy the replica twin loop muffler that JDMCARBOY sells here. he sells for $100 bucks. quiet for cruising but when u mash its deep. really good bang for ur buck.

hmmm tell me more. i was thinkin of takin off the magnaflow muffler n puttin on a borla universal muffler so itll be just a low rumble n not make much sound at all but this sounds pretty good too. have u heard this muffler? i need a muffler with a 2.5" inlet so thats y i was gonna go borla

 

its pretty quiet to cruise in and when u mash. its not as loud. just deep. i was afraid of gettin a muffler cuz i thot quietness w/ in the piping as well. but i have a 2.25 pipping and its pretty coo.

wut does ur system consist of? like i said, mine is wide open, 2.5" piping with a hiflow n no resonators
