Uses for the magic we call SeaFoam...
I'm just curious to see what odd uses (other than the normal brake booster/engine oil/gas additive) some of you have used Seafoam motor treatment for, and what were your results.

Its good for cleaning parts when rebuilding an engine, and its also great for preventing rust inside engines when storing them. Oh ya, and you can also use the arasol "deep creep" seafoam to clean carbon from inside your combustion chambers. (spray into throttle body while running engine, turn off engine, wait 5-10 min, start er up and go blast around to blow it out. note: engine should be fully warmed up.)
i wish you could get seafoam easily around my hometown -i cant find it anywhere...so i just use techron as an additive every other oil change

Is seafoam only sold in the eastern states mostly? I've been looking around CA but unable to find such a product. I've noticed the people that do use them are located either Mid-US to the eastern states.
No clue what i'm talkin about here, but might be some smog-related issues with selling seafoam in CA. I've got a seemingly unlimited supply here in SC where they don't give a damn what you do to your car, so long as it runs. I could possibly ship some to you guys at cost if anyone's interested, but i'll have to look into HAZMAT laws and stuff first.

So march into your local Napa store and demand your can!

I use it through the main vacuum line to clean out the motor (and **** all my neighbors off with the smoke it produces
)
I also put a bottle in the gas tank every 10,000 miles or so to clean the fuel system out.
You can also mix it with your oil and use it as an engine flush, although I would not recommend driving you car with it in there.

It's available in California. I get it from my local Winchester Auto Parts.
So far I've only ran it through my brake booster and dumped it into the gas tank. I was actually disappointed at the amount of smoke after hearing everyone rave about it
I'm wary of putting anything in my tranny other than engine oil.

1.unhook the main vacuum line coming off of the brake master cylinder. (as shown in picture) It will look the same on your Accord too.
2.pour seafom into a cup.
3.insert main vacuum line into cup and let it suck the seafom through the line, the car will die in seconds.
4.restart car and repeat step 3 until all seafom is gone.
note this may take several attempts to get rid of all the seafom, and car will be hard to start. the car will be very hard to start and will smoke like crazy but this is normal and means that the seafom is doing its job.
also make sure the motor is at normal operating temp before you start doing the seafom treatment.

This one is really good, it makes your car smoke like a bitch for a few minutes but after it burns out, your car will usualy run alot smoother then before.

i just did mines today after my oil change! Man that car smoked like i didn't have any oil in it, but i ran it though the pcv valve pipe so it could go though the intake and injectors, etc. After driving the **** out of it. It quit smoking but i didn't see any changes from when it didn't have any my car before! My car has 168,500 miles on it just intake and exhaust has been added to the car. Like i said i see no differnce in performance!!! But it was doing a little smoking before i hope it repaired it!!

ouch dude woulda been smarter to change the oil afterwards because depending on how you put it in it can mess with it some...

we'll from the directions on the bottle (which i went by) it didn't say anything about it and also i added it to my oil when i changed it. So i think it doesn't matter.
I used the seafoam today into my brake booster. After all the seafoam when into the brake booster my car died as expected. After 5 minutes I attempted to start the car once again it started choking like a carb. car. I gave it some gas and then I heard my exhuast totally back fire with this nice ole cloud of smoke. Wondering if that back fire is normal. BTW its a 97 CD7 AT.
