Default Sticking E-Brake

when i park with my e-brake, it works fine but when i put it down it has about 3 clicks of slack and doesn't tighten untill i drive the car about 20 miles sometimes more. wuts wrong and how can i fix it. i have a 97 civic ex and it happens everytime i pull the e-brake please help

well anyway, underneath your center console at the rear where the backseat ashtray is, there's 2 10mm bolts and you loosen the left one and tighetn the right one (if your facing the front of the car)
make it so it's 6 to 10 clicks to pull and you'll be good.
