Anyone got a spare D15?
My '91 DX hatchback blew the head gasket and the #1 cylinder fills with water. I put some block sealer in it and I'll see if that patched it enough to make it drivable for a little while, but I'm thinking that that's probbably pretty optimistic.
How hard is it to remove the head? How much time would it take to replace the gasket? The car just turned 250k last month and everything is original. Anyone got a spare D15 cheap?
I'm sure what happened is the motor overheated really bad cause I noticed that neither of the electric fans were opperating. I plan to wire a manual fan switch to cure that problem.
Man... what a pisser.

For that much money, you're about $50 away from a ZC engine, with around or less than 30,000 miles. If you're considering a new engine, on a budget, either the ZC or a newer SOHC VTEC engine are the way to go, don't even consider paying for another DX!!!!
I have a 90 DX engine/tranny for cheap...Email me - XtremCRX77@aol.com
i have a D15 off a 94 civic cx but no tranny selling for 100 bucks 70k on the motor runs e-mail me at http://www.mrcrx8@aol.com
