Default running rich all the sudden

ok i bought this car right. ran perfect and had perfect idle and everthing, super fast. (lsvtec w/lots of mods) started burning little oil so i get some new rings and bearings and freshen up the head. now ever since the rebuild it runs super rich at idle and high rpms. have no vaccum leaks. the previous owner had an apexi vafc but took it off when he sold it. it does have a mugen ecu which im told usually run rich. but it was fine till the rebuild. does anyone know why the sudden change would take place?

Yea all the "ebay" programs are nothing but alittle advance and a jump in fuel, try a stock ecu see if that helps

its not chipped, its a mugen ecu, it probably is the reason but why now and not before the rebuild

Are you sure you are running rich? What color is the smoke?
