S2000 Negotiations at Dealership
I know this doesn't apply to all members cuz of differences in climates but my friend is looking to pick up a new 05-06 s2000. Winter is coming next month over here so this is there "low season" and he's into negotiations I was just wondering what other users if any (in canada) or states where able to negotiate down. Right now msrp here is 50,xxx he's got it down to 44,500 and payments are 0$ Down and 770$CAD/month. After talking to me about he said that it wasn't the best deal and other dealers would be able to match or beat. I thought 6k off sticker was reasonable (for an 05*).
As you eluded, us yanks don't know what a good deal in canuckland is but, I can tell you, you should be working off of invoice, and not MSRP!
Ok I'm not good with the CAD to USD conversion but... the S should cost you almost $34k USD after everything. I got a 7 year warranty also with that price.

Well there has to be extra fees from CAD to USD other than transport cuz even straight comparison new vs new even with exchange the usd one is cheaper.
43,500CAD is about 37,000USD.
