Hey all! My piston rings are bad so im putting in ctr pistons and i wanted to go .25 over. My question is can i use a stock 81mm headgasket with 81.25mm pistons? Same question for the piston rings. If not where can i find good oversize piston rings? And if anyone knows a place cheaper then the honda dealership to buy OEM rod bearings HOOK ME UP .

 

The stock head gasket will work fine.You will need .25 over rings to go with the .25 over pistons.Honda sells the oversize rings.check out this Honda dealer,they discount and have been good to deal with. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

I did something similar - went with the .25 over ctr pistons in my b16, AND i ordered oversized rings from hondaautomotiveparts.com - not sure who fukced up but the rings i got, i still have - the shop couldn't use them cuz they were too big. we tripple checked part numbers so the only thing we could figure is the dude at the honda factory was on crack when he stuffed the boxes with my rings. i really dont know why they were so big. anyway good luck. if i were you i'd just have the shop who does your boring get the rings based on their measurements.

 

i member that place i had to order a part from there for my friends honda before i even was into cars. Whats the part number for stock rod bearings. Thanks for all the help guys.

 

i just found a big gasket set on ebay. I was wondering if anyone has heard of NAKAMOTO gaskets. Are they any good or just more cheap ebay bullshit?
