will the oem stereo/cd player from a 1999 civic EX fit on a 98 accord? is it plug and play? or might i have to do some wiring...?

 

you'll definitely need to fill up the empty space on the accord since the oem radio is double din and the 99 civic is single din..

it could be plug and play... i used to have a 98 accord... can't remember the exact plug it used... it might be P&P... worst case, you'll have to shell out $20 for a new wiring harness for so that you don't cut your stock wiring... or if the plugs are not the same, you might cut the stock wiring and do it for free.. it's up to you

i'm sure you can dig up the manuals for both cars online somewhere and find out the type of plugs they use to compare

 

not to worried about chopping up the wires... don't really want to buy a wiring harness either because i might as well get a cheap aftermarket 1. so, my question is: will the 98 accord (Lx sedan) harness plug right into the 99 civic ex with no modifications? i havent't checked for part #'s yet because not to sure upon what to look for.
