Default Testing the water

Hello all.

Right, I've seen a few people offering access to any 'JDM' part for the RSX models over there in the USA. All things considered, I'd just like to see what interest there is for a group buy of 2002 INTEGRA Type R parts - as I can secure all of them from Honda New Zealand.

Thing is, I'm in New Zealand. And, when you look at the exchange rates, a set of recaro's would set you back $5000NZ, or roughly $2200US for BOTH. I'm also talking about shift *****, brake ducts, JDM OEM body kits, LSD's and so on.

I can get all prices, but before I do - I'd just like to know what interest there is out there. Like I said, I have access to ANYTHING off the Integra Type R 2002 model. - hell, I own one.

Heres an Idea of pricing - and bear in mind, I could get these alot cheaper on 'mass' order:

Cams $2,200 (US$880)
Headers $4,450 (US$1780)
This includes larger catalytic convertor
The Rocker cover is $435 (US$174)
The spark plug cover is also different $150 (US$60)
alloys in silver or grey $5,500 (US$2200)
Inlet manifold $805 (US$322)
JDM ECU $1,475 (US$590)

Also remember, there are alot of aftermarket parts coming out now they may be better than the JDN stuff. So, with that in mind, consider the smaller parts such as the body kits, brake ducts, brembos, interior pieces (seats, momo wheel, titanium ****) and so on...

thanks

Nope thats not with shipping - and that is TOP end price, so it can only get cheaper.

Shipping - cost me $70nx to get an AEM intake over here, so thats US$25ish. But, as a group buy you can image this would get cheaper with bulk....

So, thanks for the response, still testing the waters thou..

high price of header is b/c of the a(?) pipe thats needed. the header is tiny, its the rest of the piping to the cat that gets out of control..

see what sections dc is pricing..

Why should we trust you? I think that's a legitimate question. Internet Scam is booming.

Valid question. Come to think of it, you could just buy directly off Honda New Zealand

Don't shoot the messenger!

oh thats allright SPOONSPORTS - I work on the 'infinate monkeys' theory - If you have an infinate number of monkeys and an infinate number of type writers, one will eventually turn out the works of Shakespear.

Its a pity, because we, as humans, don't have 'infinate' numbers, couple this with a smaller than totalitarian web population and the statistics become even more embarrising for 'us' humans

Or think of it like this, chances are in any given population, if you say hello to one million people, one will be offended by such an action....

Do you actually get the Type R in New Zealand? Or do you get the same "Type R" that's sold in Australia (which has a Type S equivalent engine)?

If that's the case, any "Type R" engine performance items would be no better than what we've got already . . . .

Things like the LSD and dress-up items would still be a possibility, though.

Mac,

What about other components (JDM spec):
- Type R pistons
- Type R head
- Type R valvetrain

Plus you have the (JDM spec) Type R bottom end as well, crank, rods, flywheel etc. I wouldn't listen to those monkeys at Honda, best to acquire the Type R part numbers yourself and then give them to Honda to source.

He's alive!

Hows the leg L?

And yeah - but there are products coming out that are better and cheeper than Honda Parts - although the Honda parts are _proven_...
