Default Differential SWAP

Ok next question i have an SI Tranny 4.25 final drive
Si tranny 3rd grinds 5th rattles

I have a DX tranny 3.88 final drive
all good

So can i put the final drive from and pinion from the SI in the DX case
looking at http://www.hondaautomotivepart...R+BOX
at the part #'s i think i probably can anyone ever done this. $$$ i don't want to rebuild the SI at the moment and the gear ratio's themselves are the same according to

except for final drive, DX and Si gears are the same - swap all of the DX countershaft gears onto the Si countershaft and use the DX differential carrier with the Si ring gear (ring gear bolts are left hand thread) - you won't need to do anything to the mainshaft - just be sure that both transmissions have the same number of splines on the input shaft or you will also need a clutch disc

Yep thats what i fgured. Anyone ever seen a cheaper final drive gear set out there i found this one http://www.sbmsinc.com/race_shop.html
