My block is at Earls, my head is sitting on the floor. I was wondering if I can mount my tranny then when I get the block in just drop that in, then lower the head onto it.

Will there be any downsides to doing this ??

I would think it would be easier if everything is in pieces already.

 

forgot to mention, its GSR with hasport kit.

 

it is easier to put the block in first and then mount the tranny..or just put it in all together..

yup, but i'd suggest to wait for the head because of the intake manifold

heck yes there is. have fun trying to slide the motor into the input shaft.

install the motor/tranny as a whole!
