Default Car Sputtering!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

ok, so i've searched this topic to death and I'm not getting anywhere. . .

my car has been sputtering between about 3000-5000rpm and it's pretty consistent. . It's not ENTIRELY noticeable, but it is to me. It's not like a violent studder or anything, it's more like a hesitation. You can just feel the car pulling back intermitently through the rpms.

So far what i've checked and changed is my cap/rotor, ignitor, plugs, wires, o2 sensor. . .

I know it's not the IACV because it's bad at idle. Correct me if i am wrong, but if it's the IACV, wont' the idle be really irratic at idle. Like the revs jumping from 700rpm to 2000rpm the whole time?

Anyways. . .I can't seem to find the answer. My timing isn't advanced or retarded, cam gears are at dead center and my fuel pressure is reading at 42psi.

I was thinking that it may be my fuel filter or pump, but wouldn't that be consistently through my rpms, not just between 3k and 5k?? The only things i've done to my fuel system is i have a aem fpr and an aem fuel rail.

I'm all out of ideas and I'm really in need of some guidance. . . Could it be something electrical??? At this point, i'm just thinking of ANYTHING AT ALL that might be causing it. Voltage regulator??? ugh. . .someone help. . . i'm all out of ideas. . .

Go ahead and change the fuel filter anyway. Then check to make sure that the grounds in the engine bay are making good contact. It's possible that the vibration of the engine at specific rpms is causing them to lose contact.

You said u checked your plugs......did they look absolutely perfect or greyish, along with that can u smell gas or oil when u sputter?? I know i had this problem and it was my rings and small amounts of oil were getting into the plug hole causing it to misfire....could this be the problem?

My car was doing that a couple weeks ago, put a new fuel filter on it and fixed it.

1990 Acura Integra. The motor is an LS/VTEC. . B18B block, 99 Si head. OBD0.

I already check the O2 and changed it. . . .there is nothing impeding it. . .as far as th IAT, i'm not even sure what that is or where it is. . . where is it?

Yeah I was all worried I was going to have to spend alot of money to figure out what was causing it, but luckly first thing I did was see if it had any codes, which it did'nt then I changed the fuel filter, hopefully that's what it'll be. Goodluck

sorry dude, i didn't ask if you changed them, the fact is you can change them and still have oil in your plug holes.....i know it's a valve gasket in mine taht's leaking a bit of oil in the #3 cylinder plug causing the sputtering
