i thought about paint and vinyl die but then i decided it's ghetto. So i put in work hunting down parts. A year later it's still not complete. A good pair of door panels and decent carpet is hard to find. I'm probably going to buy the rest from majestic honda.
yes 88-89 panels and cluster cover are different. The instrument cluster and cover is different on 90-91 and 90-91 have door mounted seatbelts. If you have an 88-89 don't hesitate to buy rear panels from a 90-91. A dremel will quickly make a 90-91 rear panel fit in an 88-89.

Why would you waste that much money on all new parts? There are a few basic
steps you need to take before you paint your parts.
1. Sand down the pieces with a light grit sandpaper such as a scuff pad or some
280 or 320 grit sandpaper.
2. Used lacquer thinner to wipe the parts down before painting. Make sure they are CLEAN!
3. Spray the parts with a couple coats of plastic parts adhesion promotor.(can be found at most local parts stores)
4. Then you can spray them with the color you choose. You can also you a layer of clear coat over the top for the last coat to give it a shiny look and make it last longer.
If you follow these steps you shouldnt have any problems with the paint falling off.

Trust me..the factory blue looks far better than painting it is going to look. even a year down the road with vinyl spray..it wears through or peels off where its not properly prepped..adn trust me..you wil not get it 100% correct. What results is absolutely horrible down the road. THe plus side is blue interio stuff is easy to find.
