Angel Eye Projector headlights...not an easy bolt on for 93 Lude
I dont care what anyone says...angel eye projectors for the 93 prelude are so not an "easy bolt on" it took us three house, 3 dremmel cutting tips and 4 dremmel grinding tips to get JUST 1 installed. If anyone needs any help hit me up and ill let you know what you have to do do get them in.

I agree, but what was so hard about putting them on?

well it wouldnt have been hard if the agnel eyes came assembled like the stock headlights. THe stock ones are 2 piece..the mounting bracket and then the headlights housing themsleves. well..the angel eyes are one piece..and trying to squeeze something that big..into a space not as big..well..the old phrase "ya cont find a square peg through a round hole" comes into play. we had to cut about 1/4 of an inch off the crossmember to squeeze them in..then had to push the lip bakc to slide it down in order to get the top mounts of the lights to line up with the factory mounting holes on the crossmember. im going to take a picture after we get the other one in tonight so ya'll can see what we had to do. i never thought i would have to refab anything to install headlights. But they will look hot though once both of them are in..especially being black housing..with the carbon fiber hood!

Thats what happens when you buy GARBAGE!!! aka most eBay headlights .. I seen headlights that are plug and play and fit like a glove .. and I seen headlights that require you to hack up your wiring and then on top of it fit like total crap .. gapping on all sides. One company I would stay away from is SONAR .. I also tried Euro lite way back and fit like crap. .. its possible they upgraded quality standards since then .. but prob. not .. b/c that not there main concern.
DEPO, TYC and KS I beleive have quality product..
.. who makes your headlights?

I've only seen one piece angel eye projectors for a prelude and that was on cardomain, but the prelude was from europe, and how much did they cost you? And where did you buy them?
I never seen any projector headlight that are halo @the same time..I looked all over 4 them researched then to tha fullest NOPe I did a 97 accord headlight conv. So that I could have halo projector lights in my 93 prelude!..good looking out though!
ok..being that im still a "trial" user ill jsut answer everyones post in this one. btw...when does the damn trial thing go away. THis 5 post limit a day is killing me!
AdReNaLiN- no we left the bumper on. it wouldn had mattered anyway. Even if we took it off we would have still had to deal with the bumper brace anyway...which sits in the same spot as the bumper itself! so leaving it on or take it off wouldnt make a diference...at least witht he 93 prelude.
ed_1 I found them by accident actually. i ordered normal projectors. then i didnt recieve them when i should have. so i called the company asd asked what was goign on. Well..the ones i ordered went on back order right after my order was processed. Well...the company sent them the wrong headlights..which was why mine were on back order. Well..the ones they sent by mistake were the angel eye pro's for the 92-96 lude. I changed the order that day to the angel eyes. so im pretty sure i am the first one on the east coast with them for the 92-96 cuze no one else ordered them when i order them.
Sick'LudeI was about to do a accord conversion also to be able to use the angel eyes. fortunately i found them before i took that step. IF you want to know where i got them just shoot me an email to hprelude93@yahoo.com. if you even need them anymore!
herovueboi and tdo I will post pics when both headlights are installed. Couldnt do both of them in one night due to my work schedule. BUt i will deff get pics up when it is done..which should be this evening

why wouldn't removing the bumper matter? when installing the jdm headlights, u need to remove the bumper and crossmember to have access to the mounting holes..
wouldn't any aftermarket one-piece headlights need to be installed in almost the same way?

yes, they would.
til i see pics, i'm assuming that he installed it the most incorrect and difficult way he could find.
removing the bumper brace is a must to get to the proper headlight bolts. sure, you can cut the oem's headlight brackets up and bend things to ****, but having removed and reinstalled my lights a couple times, i know that doing it with the bumper on is bordering on retarded.

haha... i remember back in the day when i first got my prelude and i was still a ricer (no offense). i got black housing projector headlights. i couldnt figure out how to tack the damn bumper off. got it off finally and the bumepr support was there to stop me again so i used my dremel too. damn i was stupid (no offense). behind the headlights in the engine bay there are 2 bolts that you remove, then the screws in the wheel wells connecting the bumper to the fenders, then the plastic screws on the bottom and top and then the bumper somes off WITH the support and you have free and total access to remove your headlights by taking off 3 simple bolts.
.. i just installed some new jdm black housing headlights on my friend and my preludes and it took me 30-45 minutes for both together. ....

pwned
I had the same problem except I need to change the AC condensor. I tried to "manuver" it through the radiator support. Then I was like ok headlight needs to comeoff. Then i was like how does this damn thing come off! ... long story short honda pwned a ton of people on that ultra-too-tight-to-imagine bumper support.
I can post the details if you need for the other side.
good luck get those pics up.
