Default E-town March 2: N/A 95 GSR takes out 2 V8 Mustangs and a 02 M3 powered Z3 conv.

I was at E-town on saturday and had a great time. There were so many domestics there that i was feeling kinda out of place and out numbered. Once I went up onto the stands, I saw many Camaros and Mustangs, even V8 powered ones running horrible times. My confidence got better.

anyhow, my 95 GSR is set up as follows: full body, full interior, a little bit more than 3/4 tanks of gas with street tires (Dunlop SP8000's). I set my rear tire pressure to 40 psi, fronts to 22psi, stiffenend my rear shocks to the max.
I had some junk in the trunk, didnt remove spare or jack. I am running a stock GSR bottom end, stock GSR tranny ratios with upgraded LSD/Clutch and flywheel

My times were:

14.4, 14.2, 13.9, 14.0 with my worse being a 14.8.
I'll post up the time slips soon.

Anyhow, my best run was a 13.9 @ 97 MPH with a 2.22-2.24 60' time

The cars whose times I smoked that day were a 02 M3 powered Z3 convertible,
a 88-92 Mustang GT that looked real fast but he ran a 14.3, and another Mustang that had big fat slicks that ran a 14.7.

My worst run, a 14.8 was when I lined up next to a Pontiac family car that probably ran mid-15's.....
I guess I drive better when I'm the underdog.
Anyhow, I had high hopes of breaking into the 13's and was able to achieve that goal. I'm happy cuz I did it with street tires. A guy who owns a PY ITR offered me slicks but I declined them....and other people came up to me and told me to strip the interior and gut it the way I used to.

The car weighed 2580 w/o me in it with more than 3/4 tank of gas, and for all the runs, I had to guess when to shift cuz I dont have a shift lite. I revved to 9000 RPM in each gear. overall, after that test and tune session, I now know what I need to make my car run better.

Wow, M5's can run 13's and the new M3's are even faster, that M3-powered Z3 guy must not have known how to drive (the '02 M coupes and roadsters now come w/ a 315hp 3.2L I6, as well).

VTEC Man has a DPR StageVI head that welds the combustion chambers and whatnot. Head is milled some I'm sure, but I think it would be tough to mill enough to get to 11.81

Sweet times bud!

Toda power, hehe.
