Default E-Town March 2: N/A GSR takes out 2 V8 Mustang GT's and a 02 M3 powered Z3 conv.

I was at E-town on saturday and had a great time. There were so many domestics there that i was feeling kinda out of place and out numbered. Once I went up onto the stands, I saw many Camaros and Mustangs, even V8 powered ones running horrible times. My confidence got better.

anyhow, my 95 GSR is set up as follows: full body, full interior, a little bit more than 3/4 tanks of gas with street tires (Dunlop SP8000's). I set my rear tire pressure to 40 psi, fronts to 22psi, stiffenend my rear shocks to the max.
I had some junk in the trunk, didnt remove spare or jack. I also ran with a stock GSR bottom end, stock GSR tranny gear ratios with upgraded LSD/clutch/flywheel.

My times were:

14.4, 14.2, 13.9, 14.0 with my worse being a 14.8.
I'll post up the time slips soon.

Anyhow, my best run was a 13.9 @ 97 MPH with a 2.22-2.24 60' time

The cars whose times I smoked that day were a 02 M3 powered Z3 convertible,
a 88-92 Mustang GT that looked real fast but he ran a 14.3, and another Mustang that had big fat slicks that ran a 14.7.

My worst run, a 14.8 was when I lined up next to a Pontiac family car that probably ran mid-15's.....
I guess I drive better when I'm the underdog.
Anyhow, I had high hopes of breaking into the 13's and was able to achieve that goal. I'm happy cuz I did it with street tires. A guy who owns a PY ITR offered me slicks but I declined them....and other people came up to me and told me to strip the interior and gut it the way I used to.

The car weighed 2580 w/o me in it with more than 3/4 tank of gas, and for all the runs, I had to guess when to shift cuz I dont have a shift lite. I revved to 9000 RPM in each gear. overall, after that test and tune session, I now know what I need to make my car run better.

I'm hoping for high 12's next week at E-town.

Nice runs, nice kills, maybe I'll see you there sometime

Unfortunately next saturday the 9th I wont be there cuz I have a funeral to go to in the morning and a date at 5pm...

But in the meantime, track testing the car has helped me to figure out what my car needs to run faster.

i'll admit I haven't followed up on my BMW info. I only know of the M5 and the new M3 coupe.... I'd have to research it.

Regardless of what it was victory sure is sweet

I spoke to the owner too and he was a cool guy.

Sure thing, once I get them scanned. I'll even provide my old 13.9 run with my old set-up before the Toda cams and the headwork

ITR AEM cold air
Skunk 2 Manifold
DPR stage 6 headwork, 11.8 compression
Toda B's
Toda Header
Apexi catback
2.5" test-pipe
VAFC
Godspeed Toda B ECU
JUN cam gears

simple mods, the rest is in the driving. I havent drag raced in 2.5 years, maybe more....but I was surprised that I still have it in me after alll that time.

Good mods, although, I'm not too fond of the AEM cold chit...
Tell me something, if you have the Toda cams and Toda header, why you didn't choose to go with the Toda cam gears??

And, if you don't mind telling, for how much did you get your Toda header?
