I have a 97 honda civic d16y8, I blew a ring. i got a d15b cheap off this old man that said it would fit.

I got the motor running on 16 degree timing, the d15b did not have crank sensor, i guess its in the distrubuter wich must be ok cuz its running. althought i had to splice into the wires and change plugs because the wire harness did not suport the D15b distrubitur. Now i want to use my D16Y8 head on this d15b block???? can this be done, what do i have to do about the crank sensor, and can i use either distrubuter. i want to use the d16y8 if i can.

theres also no whole in the back of the block for the knock sensor??
