I finally got my hood open. I'm going to need a new hood, hood latch assembly and a new hood cable.

I plan to re-route it so that it isn't under the wheel well like it originally was. Where is an ideal place to re-route it that isn't susceptible to someone finding it easily?

Also, is it a pain to install a new cable?

Would it be easier if I removed the bumper and fender in order to reinstall the cable?

 

well it might not be the easiest place to put it, but i re-routed mine through the bay. It goes stright from the inside latch through the firewall hole right behind the driver side shock tower. it works fine for me but i guess when you take it all apart you will find out what is best for you.

 

Ya know what would be good? In the glove box. Itd be "clean" I guess, and if ya could find the UKDM or JDM plastic cover on that side, I suppose you could get half a inch wider of leg room. I have no problem with the stock location, its where you'd expect ti find it.
