I can't recall exactly, but aren't the TPS and MAP connectors virtually the same? Accidently swapped them? IIRC, the TPS should have yellow, green and brown wires.

I'm wondering if there's a chance that the IACV and a water temp connector were switched too? The thermostat temp sensor is probably within reach of the IACV.

As for the code 9, I couldn't really say. It should use the stock wires and not throw a code. I'd say check the rotor for any shaftplay - my z6's dizzy bearing was toast. Started with orange dust in cap, then infreqent codes, then squeeking (rotor contacting cap points), then a real code 9 (rev limit to 3k). Swap with a lifetime Autozone core fixed it all, as I thought. Its funny how a rebuild dizzy (before corecharge) almost double my swap cost

a little more information would help. what map sensor are you using? did you switch to the 4 wire o2 sensor? are you running an obdI distributor? which ecu are you using? if you have swapped over all the parts, i would personally just start checking all the wires and connectors to make sure they are plugged in to the right places and all the grounds are hooked up right. perhaps the fuel pressure regulator is allowing too much fuel to run through? you said you changed injectors and removed the resistor box, so what injectors did you put in? are they the injectors for the z6 motor?
