smaller diameter tire = faster acceleration?
I'm getting falkins for my stang, and in deciding between the 215/45/16 and the 225/50/16 I came to a realization(which is related to ITRs)...
The total diameter of the 215 tire will be 23.61''.
The total diameter of the 225 tire will be 24.85''.
When you do the math, the difference in RPMs at any point is the same as if I droped the final gearing from 3:55 to 3:70.
I'm assuming the 215 tires will make the car accelerate faster just like the lower gears would?

Your odometer will also be clocking more miles than your are actually traveling too.
So lets say you travel 100,000 miles with both tire combinations the smaller than stock, 23.61 inch diameter tire will calculate to a little more than 5,000 "extra" miles. Just some food for though - not necessarily all that important.

so after driving a while...my car would be worth more due to less miles on the odometer if i was rollin on some 22's?
