What is honda doing?
since last year when the 05' GSXR 1K came out all i ever here is HONDA SUCKS! or/and I want to get a gixxer. I never hear anyone say they want a RR anymore. I was sure that by 06' honda would do more to be competitive against the other bikes like less weight perhaps some more power but as far as i can tell, its the same engine with higher compression 10mm bigger breaks and different steering geometry. Am i missing something, or is Honda's 06 liter bike still dragging behind? I know HP isn't everything blah blah blah ive prob have more riding exp then a lot if not most of you on here i just want to know if anyone knows anything about the bike thanks
Because for the most part everything you are hearing is from people that only know what a magazine tells them. The liter bikes are pretty close in performance, not as close as the 600's, but close enough that it really doesnt matter what edge one bike has to most of the people that ride. Truth is I give the 1000rr the edge in the turns but once you hit the straight the other bikes are going to pull on you, not dramatically but they will. But I really like how stable is feels when I throw it into turns.

... also assuming you can ride the bikes at 9/10th because most mortals don't use the upper range of their liter bikes on a track. Maybe on a straight but even that is not always true. If you can keep the liters on a boil and ride them to their limits, maybe you'll notice a real performance gain from one to another. Maybe.

I agree, when you're going that fast anyway .001 seconds doesn't matter.
